Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Balls:

  • 250g fresh mozzarella balls (or 1 block, cut into cubes)
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

For Breading:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Cooking:

  • Vegetable oil for frying (or use oven/air fryer as listed)

Instructions

  1. Prep mozzarella: Drain and pat dry mozzarella. Cut into 1-inch pieces if using a block.
  2. Set up breading station: Bowl 1 – flour. Bowl 2 – egg + milk. Bowl 3 – breadcrumbs, parmesan, parsley.
  3. Bread each ball: Dip in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Repeat egg + breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  4. Chill: Place on tray and refrigerate 30–60 minutes.
  5. Cook:
  • Fry: 335–345°F (170–175°C), 2–3 minutes.
  • Bake: 350°F (180°C), 10–15 minutes, flip halfway.
  • Air fry: 375°F (190°C), 6–8 minutes, shake halfway.
  1. Serve hot with your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Double coat for best crunch.
