Description

Easy and delicious, this Italian Chocolate Salami recipe is a no-bake treat! With rich chocolate and crunchy biscuits, it’s perfect for any occasion and always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 7 oz (200g) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp rum (optional)
  • 7 oz (200g) plain cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup (60g) nuts, chopped (pistachios, hazelnuts or almonds)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Melt Chocolate: In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until creamy. Add the eggs and rum, mixing until well combined. Stir in the melted chocolate.
  3. Add Cookies and Nuts: Fold in the crushed cookies and chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
  4. Shape Salami: Lay out a piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Spoon the mixture onto the wrap and shape it into a log, about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap tightly and twist the ends to seal.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  6. Serve: Unwrap the Chocolate Salami and dust with powdered sugar. Slice into rounds and serve.

Notes

Ensure the eggs are fresh and of high quality.

If you prefer a firmer texture, you can add a bit more crushed cookies to the mixture.
